Matt bit his lower lip as Marie walked into the Blush Lagoon, wearing her typical daisy duke shorts and red cowboy boots. Blush Lagoon wasn’t an upscale restaurant, more of a bar with a renowned chef, who found the high priced for small amount of food a shame.  Mitch loved to eat from the time he was born, so he went off to some fancy school and learned all the fancy techniques and landed the perfect job offer, only to turn it down. Matt’s father and his mother always told him and Mitch that to be identical twins they sure were total opposites. Mitch loved to cook and could care less about money as long as people had their bellies full. Him on the other hand, he was all about the money and had gone off to get his Medical Licenses. He was the top dog among plastic surgeons, but he always came a visiting his small hometown when Mitch and Marie called him home.
“Hey you.” Marie grinned at him. “When you’d get in?”
“Two hours ago.” He slid over and let Marie slide in the booth.
“Guess that’s why Mitch called me over.”
“It was.” Mitch wiped his hands on the white apron he wore. “Dum-wit here came in took his seat and didn’t even bother to let me know he arrived.”
“Seems like you knew.” Matt held his hand out to his twin. “You called our woman.” Marie was the third in their Alpha Triad. Matt spend most of the time with her, since they both preferred the small town life to the city.
“Saw you sitting her sipping a beer when I sat a plate in the window.” Mitch caressed Marie’s face. “You tell him, babe.”
“Tell me what?”
“Just got here.” Marie scooted further into the booth, pressing her long body against his.
Matt wrapped his arm around her and kissed her cheek. He missed her so much when he was away.
“Bout time he knew.” Mitch leaned his elbows on the table. “He has to start preparing his move.”
“My move?” Matt wasn’t following, only reason he’d be moving was if . . . “You’re pregnant?”
Marie’s grin said it all.
Matt sealed his lips over hers and refused to stop kissing her until both of them ran out of breath.
“Damn,” Mitch whispered. “Bro, I think you just spiked the temperature in this room about twenty degrees.”
He might have. He sure did increase Marie’s heartrate. He could feel it beating ten times faster. “When did you find out?”
“Two days ago.”
“I’ve got lots to do.” Understatement and half. He’d promised both of them that he’d give up his work in the city when she became pregnant. He didn’t want to miss a moment of his child’s birth.
