Writing is it Talent or Learned?

Writing is it talent or learned? My opinion, it is both.

You have to learn what your readers want. You have to keep up on what is selling at a certain point and time. You have to do some research on each story, to make it authentic. (Maybe not so much in fiction, but still there is some required.) You even have to keep up to date on all the new social media, and fast changing software. (Man alive, there are so many software to choose from that it can be overwhelming. If not down right frustrating.)

However, there are something’s that just cant’ be taught. That’s what makes a writer talented. All the learned skills in the world won’t help you if you can’t create something that catches a reader’s eye.
